Cornish & British Wool

In the shop you will find 3 varieties of Cornish wool.

All the Cornish wool in the shop does around 50 miles or less from sheep to shop. This includes shearing, spinning and dyeing the wool as well as delivering to the shop.

The Cornish collection offers 3 different varieties of sheep wool.

With Ruzza Farm providing 100g skeins and 50g  cakes of double knit weight wool. The wool comes from the Romney sheep and is either of natural colour or hand dyed using natural products such as Woad, Madder, Rhubarb, Walnut’s, Onion Skins and Lichen for example. Each skein of yarn is beautiful.

Puddle Farm supplies the shop with Castle Milk Moorit wool. This is an exceptionally rare breed of sheep and they live just a few miles from the shop. Brought back from the brink of extinction these sheep have a beautiful brown fleece and the shop has this wool in 100g ball in a chunky weight.

Hamatethy supply the shop with 3 lovely shades of their Suffolk/Beulah breed sheep wool. These come in 50g balls in natural, Grey and Navy colour ways. These wool’s are also a double knit weight.

All the Cornish wool is spun by the Natural Fibre Company which is in Cornwall.

You will also find yarn from The Gathered Sheep and Armscote Manor Portland Wool

The Gathered sheep supplies us with some beautiful Shetland wool in 50g and 100g cakes. They have natural colours and hand dyed shades.

Armscot Manor supply the shop with 50g balls in all 3 of their Portland wool colourways as well as Welsh Black Mountain.

The wool’s vary in price from £8.95 to £16.00.
