How’s it going?

Hello everyone

It’s been a little while since I wrote anything to you all. This little note is going to fill you in all that’s coming up and how the shop opening times are going to change for summer. (little hint not much)

Lets start with the biggest thing and get that out the way.

I know that from the 19th July we will no longer be legally required to wear a mask and sanitise. However I will be asking you all to continue to do so whilst in my shop. 1) I have a whacky immune system 2) I am not fully vaccinated 3) My shop is small I ask you to respect my decision on this and to respect my staff. When I feel it is right for me and my business that masks will no longer be needed I will let you all know.

In case you missed it there has been a slight change to Saturday opening times. Saturday is now 9.30 – 14.00 then 14.30 – 16.00 with the later opening being for the sit and social group. This is currently limited to 4 people and is booking only. Small charge of £4 for this session and will include tea/coffee and biscuits.

The shop open times are mon, tue, thur, fri 10-2 saturday 9.30 – 2 Wed, Sun Closed.

From August you will find Jo in the shop on a Monday & Tuesday and me there the other days. This will be the norm going forward as it gives me time to do admin and study once I go back to uni in October.

All classes are listed on the website now and are pre booking only.

Saturday 25th September is Autumn/Winter launch at the shop and will see the launch of Rowan, West Yorkshire Spinners, Katia, Making Stories collections. I will be joined by my lovely Rowan yarn rep who will be bringing some gorgeous samples of yarn and garments for you all to look at and get inspited by so why not come join us. There will be discounts, and bundles and kits available so just drop in.

August is a funny month for the crafting world as it’s warmer and the school holidays however that will only effect the shop opening the week of 23rd-28th The shop will be closed Thur, Fri & Sat that week as we are having our family week.

I have lots of things lined up for the shop from the classes to launch events and window displays.

Did you see the new pattern book I showed from West Yorkshire Spinners. It’s called the Family Collection and is 13 patterns designed using the Fleece collection of British Yarns from them in the Jacob’s yarn and Blueface Leicester wools in DK, Aran & Roving.

Im going to start adding some how to videos to the website and when I do a chat about a new release etc I will also add that to the website so you can all get a better insight to whats in the books.

I also wanted to remind you all that yarn prices have gone up as of the 1st July so far I haven’t made any changes to what I am charging but this will change as I get more and more new stock in and all yarns will be at there new prices by the end of August so now’s the time to shop if you want a bargain.

Woodland Walk boxes are still going and you still have time to order July’s box too. If you want to see what previous boxes looked like check out my social media accounts.

I think that’s it from me now.

Warm Woolly Wishes

Lucy x
