A Lot To Talk About

Wow do I have a lot to talk about so grab a beverage and something to craft on as I embark on this big update for you all.

First off can I remind you all about Christmas in July and the amazing deals I have alongside that. See my previous blog post for more details.

Now for the all the other news.

I am excited to announce that I will be taking part in the next KAL with Malabrigo that will be starting in September the yarn is Rios and you will need 6 skeins in total 4 of main colour and 2 of a contrast colour. The colourways that are going to be used are Whole Grain and Sagitarious but the original design is done using Plomo & Arco Iris. I will pop some images in for you all to see and I will create a order page for you to see the yarn colours. I will be offering a 10% discount on both colourway combinations. You can of course use stash or make your own combination of yarns. The KAL starts in September but I will do another post closer to the time with all the details and a picture of the shawl.

Also in September it’s the return of YARNSTRAVAGANZA the UKHKA is bringing back this popular week long event I will post more about that closer to the time but there will be goody bags and freebies to come. 28th September till 5th October

So that’s September now on to October and I am so excited for this one. October the 12th is National YARN DAY (eeekkkk) although to me every day is yarn day but this is apparently the day we should all celebrate the yarn. However I can’t just do one day so I have a week of Yarn worship. Starting on Saturday 5th October the lovely Kitey from The Yarn Whisperer is coming for a pop up shop. I can’t wait to welcome him to my shop and for you all to squish even more of his lovely yarn.

During the week West Yorkshire Spinners release some more scrummy yarn and patterns so I will be having a launch for those too.

Then on Saturday 12th October the lovely Siobhan from Siobhan Crafts is coming to do a pop up shop too. Yes that’s right 2 amazing dyers are coming to my shop to help us all celebrate YARN. More details on timings etc closer to the time.

October will also see Sock classes coming back to celebrate Soctober more details on that to follow as I need to sort a few things.

One last thing to round up. I have major hip surgery on 30th July so I myself will not be in the shop for several weeks. However my lovely team will be doing there best to cover but there will be some days that they will not be able to open due to it being the school summer holidays. Please bear with us whilst we are doing our best.

warm woolly wishes

Lucy
