    WOW what happened

Ok well that’s been exciting and fun and a bit of a whirlwind The grand opening was held on the 21st July and blimey knitters and crocheters were out in force. It was an amazing day and I loved every minute of it and met lots of lovely people. I would like to thank all the people of Lostwithiel for such a warm friendly welcome and support. The shop has been busy and has been welcomed into the town with open arms. I’ve been so surprised by the amount of interest in the shop and the people that come through the door both local and from afar have all been…

    What A Week

Wow what a week it has been. Firstly I shut the shop in Par expecting to spend the week planning organising and getting works carried out on the shop and then starting the decorating and moving in of furniture. Instead I got a whirl wind. First off my son got sick with Scarlet fever so no school for him and a very long Sunday for me down the hospital with him. Secondly my friends came to help and with Henry’s skills and know how the dangerous polystyrene tiles were removed and the decorating started. Thirdly the electrician rang to say he had had a change in his diary and so…

    Progress

Wow it’s really starting to move at the shop. Unfortunately I am not able to do as much as I would like as my 5 year old has scarlet fever and is off school so it’s evening only at the moment. That said the electrician has been in and carried out the works needed and we now have some super bright LED lights so you can all see the yarn better and we will be able to see what you are knitting. The spot lights in one of the windows have also been removed as they were a fire hazard and had already started to leave burn marks on the…

    Work Has Started

It’s been a busy week this week. Closing down the Par shop, looking after my family and coping with this heat. However it’s also seen the start of getting the new shop ready to open. I’ve had electricians in to look at the electrics and price up the work needed to sort out new lighting and removing some of the old wires and they will make a start on Wednesday with this work. I have also started to remove the wall paper poor Audrey just had to go. (see photos) Next up is to get someone in to quote removing the polystyrene tiles and making good the ceiling before painting…
